Rs. 30 million have been spent from 8th October 2005 to date on relief efforts in the earthquake affected areas. Details of which are:
- Sahara For Life Trust provided 3200 fiberglass huts to the far flung areas of the earthquake affected areas.
- Sahara For life Trust with the help of Pakistan army used Helicopters from the USA called “CHINOUKS” to transport the fiberglass huts as well as patients and other relief goods to snowbound areas. Shelter homes were thus established in even most difficult areas by SAHARA.
- Two medical camps with teams of surgeons, physicians, orthopedic surgeons and gynecologists were established in “Balakot and Chanari”.
- 90 trucks loaded with utilities like eatables, blankets, warm clothes and tents were also transported and provided as a part of the relief efforts.
- As a part of the relief activities Sahara for Life Trust also established a mosque by the name of Masjid-e-Qaba in Azad Kashmir
- A technical school to teach sewing/stitching to the girls of the affected area in Kashmir has also been established. 10 Sewing machines and teaching arrangements have also been made by the trust
